Tea & Overtones—A Timeless Approach to Meditation

Start Each Week with Joy, Gratitude and a Cup of Tea.

For centuries drinking tea has been practiced as more than a simple leisure activity, there is also a long history of tea as a meditative practice. Zen monks as far back as the 12th century would drink tea not only to remain awake during meditation but as way to become more fully present and to do so with an open heart. Modern research has shown that tea has an abundance of health giving properties - as does chocolate.

In Tea & Overtones, Paul Kaye is inviting you to join him for a cup of tea (and a piece of chocolate) as a prelude to a Meditation of Gratitude & Joy. We will be moving to a place of inner calm and allowing our hearts to open as we connect with the presence of the Beloved.

An aspect of the alchemy of tea and chocolate is their seemingly mystical ability to bring us to places of beauty within our being. Beauty softens our hearts and we become more attentive to the voice of the Beloved. The word beauty and the word beatify, to bless, share the same origin. So we will be creating space for the blessings that already are to enter and manifest in our lives.

Joy is inherent through the Soul.

When you have joy—when this happiness just comes up inside you—
then no matter what you do or say or become out there,
this center of calm and happiness is not disturbed because it is what it is.

Therein is your fulfillment for being on this physical level.
