Neighborhood Peace Prayer & Labyrinth Peace Workshop
This September 21st marks the 25th Anniversary of the International Day of Peace. Sponsored by the United Nations, it is an important celebration of diverse cultures to raise awareness of peace on our planet.
Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens and MSIA are hosting a day-long event, beginning with an open house and a moment of silence at 12noon around our Labyrinth. This is a powerful way to attune to the peace within you and gather together as a community – and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Program
11:30 am – 1:00 pm: Open House Hours
Enjoy the grounds and Tours. Place your peace blessings at our peace pole, peace tree and gardens! Ice Cream Social with a guitar concert – enjoy refreshments and connection with fellow peacemakers. Walk the grounds, relax and let go.
12:00 pm: Minute of Silence for Peace at the Labyrinth – observed at noon in all time zones to result in a Peace Wave experienced around the World.
This will be followed by a West Adams peace prayer, where community leaders contribute their blessings of peace for our neighborhood and planet.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Labyrinth Workshop “Peace in me and Peace on Earth” – guided walk with experts Carol Jones and Charles Bernstein. Clarify and energize your intentions for peace! - To register for the workshop, please click here.
